New Election Information

On the morning of the August Primary Election, the Election Authority discovered that some voters were not given the correct ballot, and thus did not have the opportunity to vote on the District II Commissioner race which they were eligible to vote on.

According to Missouri Statute 115.600, if the election authority determines and is convinced that errors of omission or commission have occurred during an election …. the election authority may petition the Court for a new election and the Court is authorized to order a new election if the evidence provided demonstrates that the irregularities were sufficient to cast doubt on the outcome of the election.

After the election authority petitioned the Court, a new election was ordered.  This affects a limited number of voters who are eligible to vote in the new election.

The results of the New Election on Friday, September 6th, 2024, will be added to the results from the August 6th District II Commissioner race for a final result in the District II Commissioner race.

Voters are urged to check their mail, as a letter was mailed to all eligible voters.
