SB 190 SENIOR TAX CREDIT ORDINANCE

On Wednesday, April 16th, 2025, the Carroll County Commission adopted the SB 190 Senior Tax Credit Ordinance to implement RSMo 137.1050 which freezes a portion of the taxpayer’s real estate tax bill.

An eligible Taxpayer is defined as a Carroll County, Missouri resident who:
* is sixty-two (62) years of age or older before January 1 of the current tax year; and
* is an owner of record of a homestead (primary residence only) or has a legal or equitable interest in such property as evidenced by a written instrument; and
* is liable for the payment of real property taxes on such homestead.

The application deadline for the 2025 tax year is: JUNE 30, 2025
